Installation of water transmission line, protecting existing utilities, restoration of trench and paved curb to curb, install of pipe supports and piping on the North Barry Bridge
Project Description:
The project consisted of the construction of approximately 9,910 feet of 16-inch ductile iron transmission line in the Village of Mamaroneck and the Town of Harrison. The 16-inch transmission line was installed, tested and disinfected in accordance with the New York State and Westchester County Department of Health (WCDOH). All roadways have been restored in accordance with the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), Village of Mamaroneck and/or Town of Harrison. The entire project was installed in accordance with the Westchester Joint Water Works (WJWW).
This project included the protection of existing utilities, replacement of grassed areas, surfacing, etc. Additional responsibilities included disinfecting and pressure testing of the installed water transmission line. WJWW performed the necessary water sampling and analysis. With the satisfactory samples obtained, ELQ removed all corporation stops used for testing and installed plugs.
