Associate Project Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy highway construction projects. This role works closely with Project Managers and Site Superintendents to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, submit, and track RFIs and submittals with clients and engineers

  • Maintain organized project documentation, including submittals, change orders, and daily logs

  • Assist in developing and updating project schedules (weekly and monthly)

  • Perform quantity takeoffs and support estimating efforts

  • Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors

  • Procure and coordinate delivery of materials to job sites

  • Interpret plans and specifications to support project execution

  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and vendors

  • Attend job site meetings and support field coordination with Superintendents

  • Track project progress, costs, and quantities for monthly billing and reporting

  • Assist with change order management, including scope review, pricing, and documentation

  • Identify and communicate project risks, delays, and issues to the project team

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience working on a project team in the heavy highway construction industry

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Team-oriented with a proactive mindset

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera preferred

  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, HCSS (HeavyBid) and Viewpoint is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Civil Engineering or a related field

Compensation & Growth:

  • Full Time
