Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join our team and grow within our preconstruction group. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to learn the estimating process for heavy civil construction projects. This role is designed as a starting point for a long-term career in estimating and preconstruction.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Bid / Estimating

• Perform quantity takeoffs using HCSS, Agtek 4D, and Bluebeam

• Review and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents

• Assist in preparing estimates by gathering project requirements and setting priorities

• Solicit and review bids from vendors and subcontractors

• Help ensure all scopes of work are complete and accurately captured

• Analyze and resolve cost discrepancies

• Organize and prioritize multiple bids and deadlines

• Participate in bid day analysis and scope reviews with the team

• Assist in preparing scope letters, including inclusions, exclusions, and qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of construction experience

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Highly motivated and eager to learn

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

 

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Familiarity with HCSS estimating software preferred

• Experience with Agtek 4D and Bluebeam Revu is a plus

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
